Study on Branch Stream Flotation Process of Dapingzhang Copper Mine in Yunnan Province

  • The operating cost of the company is rising along with the amount of low lean copper ore in the Dapingzhang Copper Mine's V2 orebody. In response, the branch stream flotation process was employed to conduct on the Dapingzhang sulfide copper mine, with the objective of improving the flotation index of copper and increasing the profits of the enterprises. According to the test findings, the copper grade of the feed increased from 0.51% to 0.91% by the novel process, and a copper concentrate with a copper grade of 23.67% and a recovery rate of 92.06% was obtained, which was 0.84 and 0.05 percentage points higher than those of the traditional flotation method. Furthermore, the total dosages of collectors decreased by 1/4 and the total selection times reduced by 2 times. Overall, the branch stream flotation process improved the grade of selected copper, optimized the internal flotation process structure and reagent system, reduced the dosage of reagent and selecting equipments, and resulted in significant energy savings and improved efficiency.
