Abstract: The application research and industrial development of attapulgite in China have gone through stages such as initial development, catch−up, and independent innovation. In recent years, with the in−depth implementation of nanotechnology, composite material technology, and the green and low−carbon development strategy, the attapulgite industry is accelerating its transformation towards "high−value, functional, and intelligent" development. Along with the development of the attapulgite industry, the standardization system for the attapulgite industry in China has been basically established. To scientifically construct the standard system for future, this paper reviews the development process of attapulgite standard formulation, sorts out the current situation of attapulgite industry standards, and proposes development paths from four dimensions: optimizing the structure of the standard system, improving the technical quality of standards, enhancing the effectiveness of standardization services, and cultivating professional standardization talents, with the aim of providing standard support for promoting the high−quality development of the attapulgite industry.
