矿区微震定位误差估计方法综述

A Review of Location Error Estimation Techniques for Mine Microseismicity

  • 摘要: 由于采矿区观测系统的不完备和较强的施工噪音干扰,矿区微震定位问题常常表现出强病态特征,结果存在固有非唯一性。然而,关于地震学中超定问题反演不确定性的完整定量估计至今仍是一个难题,不同近似方法各有优劣,尤其对于能量较小、信噪比较低的小尺度微震活动而言,其适用性有待进一步检验。针对矿区微震信号本身具有的特点,对比讨论了几种常用的定位误差估计方法的基本原理及各自适用性,包括基于经典迭代类反演的标准差计算法、基于贝叶斯准则的后验概率估计、统计类方法等。最后,对目前微震定位中尚存问题进行了分析,并对进一步提高定位精度、精准误差估计等提出了可能的解决思路。

     

    Abstract: Incompleteness of observation systems and data errors render earthquake location strongly ill−posed, exhibiting inherent solution non−uniqueness. Accurate location error analysis is particularly critical for microseismic events, especially in the small scale mining areas. However, complete quantitative estimation of inversion uncertainty for overdetermined problems in seismology remains challenging; the applicability of various approximation methods to mine microseismicity requires further study. This paper reviews the advantages and disadvantages of several earthquake location error estimation methods, including standard deviation calculation based on iterative inversion, Bayesian posterior probability, and statistical approaches. Finally, it identifies persisting challenges in microseismic location and proposes potential pathways for enhancing accuracy and precise error estimation.
