鳞片石墨电化学法氧化制备可膨胀石墨

Preparation of Expandable Graphite by Electrochemical Oxidation

  • 摘要: 以+100目鳞片石墨为原料,采用自制双螺旋搅拌式电化学装置制备可膨胀石墨。采用XRD、FTIR分析不同电化学氧化时间对石墨结构和含氧官能团的影响,SEM对可膨胀石墨和膨胀石墨的形貌变化进行表征,考察制备过程氧化时间对膨胀容积的影响,分析其影响机理。结果表明,当石墨与浓硫酸质量比1∶1.8、电流密度3 A/dm2,控制反应温度0 ℃左右、电化反应时间为3 h时插层膨胀效果最好,制备的可膨胀石墨固定碳含量99.95%、膨胀容积可达到230 mL/g。该研究方法为绿色制备具有高膨胀容积的膨胀石墨提供了新思路,促进电化学制备可膨胀石墨设备与工艺在我国石墨企业的推广与应用。

     

    Abstract: +100 mesh flake graphite was used as raw material to make expandable graphite via a self-made double-spiral stirring electrochemical device. XRD and FTIR were adopted to characterize the graphene nanoplatelet. XRD and FTIR were employed to analyze the influences of different electrochemical oxidation times on the structure and oxygen-containing functional groups of graphite, and SEM was adopted to characterize the morphological changes of expandable graphite and expanded graphite. The effect of oxidation time on the expansion volume during the preparation was investigated, and its influence mechanism was analyzed. The results showed that the optimum intercalation expansion conditions of the mass ratio of graphite to concentrated sulfuric acid was 1∶1.8, the current density of 3 A/dm2, the reaction temperature at approximately 0 ℃ for 3 h. Expandable graphite with a fixed carbon content of 99.95% and an expansion volume of 230 mL/g was prepared. This research method provided a new idea for the green preparation of expanded graphite with a high expansion volume, and facilitated the promotion and application of electrochemical equipment and processes for the preparation of expandable graphite in graphite enterprises in China.
