Abstract:
S-MnO
2 adsorbent was synthesized by in-situ method and characterized by XRD, FT-IR, SEM, and BET/BJH. The effects of reaction time, amount of adsorbent, temperature and pH of solution on the adsorption performance of S-MnO
2 were investigated. The results showed that S-MnO
2 with excellent adsorption capacity, the removal efficiency was close to 100%, especially Cu
2+, Pb
2+, Zn
2+, etc, which reached the drinking water standard. It could reach the adsorption equilibrium within 5min for the adsorption of As
5+, and S-MnO
2 was hardly affected by the pH of the solution, which could be used in a wide range of pH (2—10). The material has low cost, high efficiency, widely apply, easy to solid-liquid separation and no secondary pollution. S-MnO
2 could be used as a promising adsorbent for the treatment of mine wastewater in the future.
