Abstract:
The crushing operation of ore consumes the most energy in the concentrator. In order to achieve energy saving and consumption reduction, most of the researches at home and abroad start from equipment and process. Microwave technology is a new type of heating method. Due to the different dielectric properties of the material being heated, the temperature of the material to be heated is different. Therefore, this special heating method is conducive to ore crushing. This paper outlined the role of microwaves in promoting the generation and expansion of cracks and reducing the energy consumption during ore crushing and grinding. Meanwhile, the existing problems of microwave technology in ore crushing were analyzed, and the future application of microwave in ore crushing process was prospected.
