Abstract: Serpentine is not only a clay mineral containing a variety of valuable components, but also is a mineral material with great market potential. According to the chemical composition and special crystal structure of serpentine, its valuable components can be enriched or its whole components can be utilized. This paper introduced the latest advances in the recovery process of valuable components in serpentine and the preparation of various industrial products. The problems in comprehensive utilization of serpentine components were pointed out, and the further development direction of serpentine was also put forward.
