Abstract:
Attapulgite mineral powder (attapulgite) was purified and modified by physical and chemical methods. Dispersants and complex active agents were adsorbed on the attapulgite surface by surface adsorption mechanism. High purity and high activity attapulgite powder was obtained by centrifugation, water bath, filtration and other treatments. The composition changes of the powder were analyzed by SEM and XRD, and the rheological properties of the aqueous suspending agent prepared from modified attapulgite were studied. The test results show that the purity of attapulgite powder treated by purification and modification can reach 95%, The optimum dosage of sodium hexametaphosphate dispersant for attapulgite suspension is 0.75%, the suspension rate of the suspension agent reaches 96% after 72 h. Under the action of the shear rate, the suspension agent has a good shear viscosity and stress, and can form a net-like structure to ensure the stability of the suspension agent.
