Abstract:
Under dry conditions, quartz was used as a grinding aid to perform ultrafine pulverization tests on coal-based carbon. The effect of the amount of quartz and the mode of addition on the ultrafine pulverization of coal-based carbon was studied. From the perspective of crushing dynamics, the regulation of the different addition methods of quartz grinding aids for ultrafine grinding of coal-based carbon was analyzed. The results showed that with the increase of the amount of quartz, the median diameter D
50 of the coal based carbon powder first decreased and then tended to be unchanged. When the amount was 1.4 g, the D
50 of the powder was reduced to 3.21 μm. Among the three methods of adding grinding agent, it was found that the grinding rate was higher when the grinding aid was added only before grinding, which was suitable for long time grinding situations. However, when the grinding aid was added incrementally in the grinding process, the grinding rate changed faster and it was suitable for short time grinding situations.
