Abstract:
By vermiculite ore and modified vermiculite as adsorbent, separately, isothermal adsorption experiment on ions, such as Cu
2+, Cd
2+, Zn
2+ was studied. Various factors, affecting the vermiculite surface adsorption performance of single ion, was studied, including adsorbent dosage, solution pH value, the concentration of heavy metal ions, adsorption time and temperature. And then the adsorption kinetics mechanism of three kinds of metal ions on vermiculite was also studied. The experimental results show that the vermiculite ore expanded in the high temperature of 900℃ and modified by 2% CTMAB, the adsorption capacity increased obviously. When the adsorbent dosage is 0.3 g, pH value 5-6, initial metal ion concentration is 150 mg/L, and adsorption time 60 min, the maximum adsorption rate of three kinds of metal ion can up to 90% at room temperature.
