Abstract:
The reverse flotation study on Xuanlong roasting-magnetic concentrate with a new low-temperature resistant composite collector was conducted. The results indicated that the Fe grade and recovery in concentrate could reach 65.39% and 84.68% at a certain conditions, i.e., temperature of 12~15℃, combined collector (OMC-1) dosage of 750 g/t, starch dosage of 1 000 g/t and lime of 4 000 g/t. Surface potential and infrared spectrum analysis showed that the composite collector has a certain physical and chemical adsorption ability on quartz. This novel low temperature resistant composite anionic collector provides a new way for the flotation of other iron ores and oxidized ores.
